The Referees Committee of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has appointed Algerian referee Mohamed Rafik Aouina to officiate the final of the U-17 Africa Cup of Nations.
The final, which will take place this Tuesday evening (20:00), will bring together the Under-17 national teams of Senegal and Tanzania.
Aouina will be assisted in officiating the final by fellow Algerian Yacine Ouerd Benslama as the first assistant referee, and Tunisian Yassine Saadaoui as the second assistant referee.
Cameroonian Willy Stephan Ngah has been appointed as the fourth official for this final, which promises to be a thrilling match.
Senegal reached the final after defeating the host country, Morocco, on penalties (6–7) following a 1–1 draw in regulation time.
For their part, Tanzania overcame Egypt, also on penalties (4–3), after regular time ended in a goalless draw (0–0).
Meanwhile, the Algerian U-17 national team exited in the quarter-finals after losing to their Tanzanian counterparts (3–3 / 3–4 on penalties).
