The Prime Minister, Mr. Sifi Ghrieb, was received this Wednesday in the Nigerien capital, Niamey, by the President of the brotherly Republic of Niger and Head of State, Général d'Armée Abdourahamane Tchiani. During the audience, he conveyed the fraternal greetings of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, and his personal commitment to consolidating the bonds of brotherhood, solidarity, and cooperation between the two brotherly nations.

The meeting provided an opportunity to review various aspects of bilateral cooperation and evaluate the progress in implementing the outcomes of President Abdourahamane Tchiani's visit to Algeria last February. The two parties also discussed the results of the talks between the two Heads of State, as well as the programs agreed upon during the second session of the Great Algerian-Nigerien Joint Commission for Cooperation, held last March in Niamey.

During the meeting, President Abdourahamane Tchiani expressed his deep appreciation and sincere thanks to President Abdelmadjid Tebboune for the significant attention he devotes to bilateral cooperation. This support enabled the completion of the power plant project in record time, reflecting the depth of the ties between the two countries and the determination of their leaderships to build a solid and diverse partnership that serves mutual interests and meets the aspirations of both peoples for greater integration and growth.

President Abdourahamane Tchiani also expressed great satisfaction with the pace of progress in bilateral projects, adding that the exceptional dynamics of Algerian-Nigerien relations serve as a model for South-South cooperation. He reaffirmed the sincere will shared with his brother, President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, to elevate bilateral relations to the highest possible levels.

For his part, the Prime Minister noted the high level of cooperation achieved in a short period and the new phase of shared political commitment, which has led to the effective field implementation of agreed projects. He attributed this success to the high directives of both leaders and their personal commitment to a regular and precise follow-up of the established roadmap.

The Prime Minister also reaffirmed Algeria's commitment to further strengthening bilateral cooperation, particularly in priority areas such as energy, hydrocarbons, infrastructure, health, vocational training, higher education, digitalization, and transport. He stressed the importance of realizing structural projects in the region to foster economic development and regional integration.

The discussions also touched upon trade and economic cooperation programs and strategic regional projects, emphasizing the need to accelerate their implementation. On the regional level, the two officials reviewed current challenges and reaffirmed the importance of continued bilateral consultation and coordination to enhance peace, security, and stability in the region.
