The Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Security, Abdelhak Saihi, met with the Minister of Labour of the Republic of Paraguay, Monica Recalde de Giacomi, on the sidelines of his participation in the 114th session of the International Labour Conference, held in Geneva, Switzerland, from June 1 to 12, 2026.
According to a statement issued today, Saturday, by the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security, "the meeting provided an opportunity for both parties to discuss prospects for strengthening bilateral cooperation between the two countries, particularly in the field of labor inspection and the exchange of relevant professional expertise and experiences."
The same source added that the Minister praised the efforts made by Algeria in regulating the labor market and developing social protection systems, expressing her country's interest in benefiting from the Algerian experience and strengthening communication and coordination channels between the two countries.
For his part, the Minister expressed Algeria's readiness to share its pioneering experience and expertise in the field of labor inspection, as well as the various mechanisms adopted to ensure compliance with professional legislation, emphasizing Algeria's commitment to strengthening bilateral partnerships to serve the mutual interests of the two friendly countries.
