The President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, during the Council of Ministers meeting he chaired on Sunday, instructed the Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad, and African Affairs, Mr. Ahmed Attaf, alongside the Minister of the Interior, Local Communities, and Transport, Mr. Saïd Sayoud, and the Minister of Sports, Mr. Walid Sadi, to prepare for the signing of a sister-city agreement between the cities of Tipaza and Kansas City (United States). This initiative is in recognition of the warm welcome extended to the official Algerian delegation and supporters during the 2026 World Cup.
The President of the Republic "instructed the Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, as well as the Ministers of the Interior and of Sports, to prepare the signing of a sister-city agreement between the cities of Tipaza and Kansas City (United States), in recognition of the warm welcome extended to the official Algerian delegation and supporters during the 2026 World Cup, and in consideration of the importance of Algerian-American relations," the Council of Ministers statement read.
