The Algerian national table tennis team (boys and girls) won seven medals (1 gold, 2 silver, and 4 bronze) in the individual events at the 2026 Youth African Championships, which concluded on Monday evening in Accra, Ghana.
Algeria's sole gold medal was claimed by Tania Morice in the U19 category, following her 4-1 victory in the final against South Africa's Roshika Sonday.
The two silver medals were secured by Jade Morice and Bilel Zouitene in the U19 mixed doubles.
The Algerian team had previously won four medals (1 silver and 3 bronze) during the boys' and girls' team events.
Held from July 27 to 30 in the Ghanaian capital, this competition, organized under the aegis of the African Table Tennis Federation (ITTF Africa), brings together the continent's top young players to compete for African titles in various individual, doubles, and team events.
Algeria's participation with thirteen players (boys and girls) in the U15 and U17 categories is part of the youth development policy pursued by the Algerian Table Tennis Federation.
