AFCON 2025: Algerian Television Acquires Broadcasting Rights for 15 Matches
Algerian Television announced on Wednesday the acquisition of broadcasting rights for 15 matches of the 2025 African Cup of Nations (AFCON). The tournament kicks off on December 21, and the broadcast package is headlined by all the national team's matches starting from the group stage.
Algerian Television specified that the list of matches, which will be broadcast on the terrestrial channel (Channel 1), will also include games involving brotherly countries as well as the most anticipated African fixtures.
The national team, participating in the African Cup of Nations finals for the 21st time in its history, will compete in Group E alongside Burkina Faso, Equatorial Guinea, and Sudan.
The national squad will begin its campaign on Wednesday, December 24, against Sudan (4:00 PM), before facing Burkina Faso on Sunday, December 28 (6:30 PM), and finally Equatorial Guinea on Wednesday, December 31 (5:00 PM).
The top two teams from each group, along with the four best third-placed teams, will qualify for the Round of 16.
