Prime Minister Sifi Ghrib affirmed on Monday evening in Oran that the arrival of the first iron ore shipments extracted from the Gara Djebilet mine (wilaya of Tindouf ), destined for the "Tosyali" iron and steel complex in Bethioua (Oran), constitutes a "historic day and a giant step toward the realization of a comprehensive and integrated development plan for Algerian industry."
In a press statement given while overseeing the arrival and unloading of these initial shipments, mandated by the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, the Prime Minister highlighted the importance of the steel industry as a primary engine for developing national economies. He noted that this industry serves as a "pillar for all economic development, in addition to [its role in] opening railway lines."
Mr. Sifi Ghrib further explained that the iron extracted from the Gara Djebilet mine is of "good quality." He took the occasion to congratulate the Algerian people and all those who contributed to achieving this milestone, emphasizing that Algeria is a "land of miracles."
