Three foreign companies highlighted this Sunday their interest in establishing new investment projects in Algeria.
The companies in question are India's "Tanshi," South Korea's "LG Electronics," and Vietnam's "Nutifood."
This came during the reception by the Director General of the Algerian Investment Promotion Agency (AAPI), Omar Rekkache, of delegations from the three mentioned companies.
According to the Agency's statement, Omar Rekkache discussed with representatives of "Tanshi" the Indian company's projects in Algeria.
The delegation expressed its desire to materialize several investments in partnership with Algerian operators, particularly in the production of raw materials intended for the pharmaceutical industry.
In turn, representatives of "LG Electronics" expressed their desire to implement a new investment project in the field of home appliances.
Both parties discussed the various options and mechanisms available to materialize the "LG" project in home appliance industries.
This could be done either independently or in partnership with Algerian operators, particularly through the partnership exchange managed by the Agency.
For his part, Omar Rekkache confirmed the Agency's role in accompanying and facilitating the realization of this investment "as soon as possible."
The delegation expressed the Korean company's openness to establishing partnerships with national operators to manufacture its brands in Algeria.
This step would allow for the transfer of technology and industrial knowledge, the creation of qualified jobs, the enhancement of local integration, and the development of the national industrial fabric.
Representatives of "LG Electronics" noted their aspiration to expand their presence in the Algerian market.
Omar Rekkache also met with a delegation from the Vietnamese company "Nutifood," specialized in the production and processing of coffee and milk, which owns several farms and factories in Vietnam.
Representatives of "Nutifood" confirmed their desire to explore the national market in anticipation of materializing agricultural and industrial investments in this field in Algeria.
