The working visit paid to Algeria this week by a high-level Omani delegation has culminated in strategic recommendations to strengthen the bilateral partnership in digital transformation, the High Commission for Digitalization said in a statement on Wednesday.

The closing meeting between the High Commissioner for Digitalization with the rank of minister, Mrs. Meriem Benmouloud, and the Omani delegation led by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology of the Sultanate of Oman, Mr. Ali bin Amur Al Shidhani, provided an opportunity to assess the outcomes of the four-day visit and discuss prospects for future cooperation.

The two sides agreed on a series of recommendations aimed at "implementing joint projects, enhancing coordination, exchanging expertise, and establishing strategic partnerships in several areas of digital transformation."

To this end, both parties affirmed that this visit represents "a qualitative step toward anchoring Algerian-Omani cooperation" and "embodies the shared will to build a strategic partnership based on innovation, the exchange of expertise, and the integration of capacities. This will contribute to supporting digital transformation efforts and achieving sustainable development between the two brotherly nations," the document concluded.
