Prime Minister Mr. Sifi Ghrieb proceeded, on Tuesday, with the installation of the working group tasked with the creation of the National Accreditation, Certification, and Homologation Network, according to a statement from the Prime Minister's services.
"The installation of this working group, composed of highly competent national experts in this field, falls within the framework of realizing the strategic vision of the President of the Republic, aiming to modernize the conformity control system for goods and services and to enhance national capabilities in analysis and quality control, in order to guarantee the protection of the national economy, support subcontracting and local production, and ensure the integrity and health of consumers," the statement specifies.
This installation follows the completion of an initial inventory of available national capabilities regarding analysis and conformity control across various economic and service sectors and within scientific research centers.
This operation allowed for the identification and documentation of available technical and human capabilities, highlighting a vast network of national laboratories that will be leveraged in the future to strengthen technical sovereignty and support the competitiveness of the national economy, adds the statement from the Prime Minister's services.
