The Lebanese Ministry of Health announced this Monday that 31 people were martyred and 149 others injured, in a preliminary toll resulting from Zionist airstrikes on the southern suburb of the Lebanese capital, Beirut, and various areas in the south of the country.
The Public Health Emergency Operations Center of the Ministry stated in a report that the toll included 20 martyred and 91 others injured in the southern suburb of Beirut, while 11 were martyred and 58 injured in southern Lebanon. The center emphasized that these figures are expected to rise.
It is worth noting that on November 27, 2024, a ceasefire agreement in Lebanon came into effect, stipulating the withdrawal of Zionist forces from southern border villages and towns within 60 days. Subsequently, the Lebanese government agreed to extend the deadline until February 18 last; however, the occupation army remained stationed at five points and continues its violations.
