The Algerian Prime Minister Presides Over the Award Ceremony for the Winners of the Holy Quran Recitation Competition on the Occasion of Laylat Al-Qadr

The Prime Minister, Mr. Sifi Ghrieb, presided over a religious ceremony on Monday evening at Djamaâ El-Djazair in Mohammadia (Algiers) on the occasion of the celebration of Laylat Al-Qadr, during which the winners of the Algeria Prize for the Recitation of the Holy Quran and the Revival of Islamic Heritage were honored.

This prize consists of two categories: the national competition for the recitation, psalmody, and exegesis of the Holy Quran, and the national encouragement competition for young Quran reciters.

The winners received honorary certificates awarded on behalf of the President of the Republic.

The jury members were also honored on this occasion in recognition of their contribution to the supervision of this competition.

Regarding the national encouragement competition for young reciters, the first prize went to Guelil Aymen (Algiers), the second to Dilmi Assid (Constantine), while the third was won by Benfatma Mohamed Anis (Aïn Témouchent).

As for the national competition for the recitation, psalmody, and exegesis of the Holy Quran, the first prize was awarded to Samira Mehdab (Jijel), the second prize went to Zidani Omar (Mostaganem), and the third was won by Karboua Abdelaziz (Ouled Djellal).

On this occasion, the members of the national competition jury were also honored.

They are Dr. Abdellah Aouissi, Excellent Imam at the Directorate of Religious Affairs and Wakfs of the wilaya of Algiers (President); Dr. Abdelkrim Hamadouche, university professor and member of the Iqrâa Council at the Directorate of Religious Affairs and Wakfs of Blida (member); Mr. Farid Aouchia, First Preaching Imam at the Directorate of Religious Affairs and Wakfs of the wilaya of Tizi Ouzou (member); Dr. Nabil Deghfali, Excellent Imam at the Directorate of Religious Affairs and Wakfs of the wilaya of Blida (member); Mr. Abdelkrim Allali, Preaching Imam at the Directorate of Religious Affairs and Wakfs of the wilaya of Oum El Bouaghi (member); as well as Ms. Samia Ayad, Level 2 Assistant Computer Engineer, who served as the jury's secretary.
