GENOA (Italy)- The Algerian national football team secured a massive 7-0 victory against Guatemala (half-time: 3-0) in a preparatory friendly match held Friday evening at the Luigi Ferraris Stadium in Genoa, Italy. The match is part of the build-up for the 2026 World Cup finals, scheduled from June 11 to July 19.
The goals for "Les Verts" were scored by Amine Gouiri (18', 59'), Riyad Mahrez (31', pen), Achraf Abada (45'+1), Houssem Aouar (47'), Farès Ghedjemis (76'), and Ahmed Nadir Benbouali (82').
The Algerian team will play a second friendly match against Uruguay, led by Real Madrid star Federico Valverde, next Tuesday at the Allianz Stadium in Turin, Italy. The kick-off is scheduled for 19:30 Algerian time.
