Algerian champion Kaylia Nemour qualified on Friday for the uneven bars final at the 2026 World Cup in Cairo.

In the third stage of the World Cup, the 19-year-old Nemour achieved a strong score of 15.266 during the qualifiers.

Nemour had previously won a gold medal in the uneven bars final at the Artistic Gymnastics World Cup in the Azerbaijani capital, Baku. She delivered a powerful performance, scoring 15.233 points and confirming her status among the best gymnasts in the world.

Prior to that, in the World Cup leg held in Cottbus, Germany, the Algerian champion claimed a silver medal.

The International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) has officially recognized the artistic skills of the Algerian champion. Months after officially stamping her name on the "Nemour" element, Kaylia now effectively holds the "copyrights" to a second signature move, the "Nemour 2." This achievement comes as a result of the unique technique Nemour innovated on the uneven bars apparatus.

Nemour had already achieved an outstanding score of 15.200 points in the qualifiers, topping the leaderboard ahead of the brightest stars in global gymnastics.

Following the footsteps of her historic first gold at the Paris 2024 Olympics, Nemour wrote history once again in October 2025 at the World Championships in Jakarta, becoming the first Arab and African female gymnast to be crowned world champion in this discipline.

Looking ahead, Nemour is set to participate in the upcoming World Cup legs in Antalya (Turkey) and Osijek (Croatia).

The Artistic Gymnastics World Cup circuit will eventually conclude in Doha, Qatar, between April 14 and 18.
