The Minister of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion, Mr. Kamel Rezig, received this Wednesday, in Algiers, the Minister of the Moscow Government and Head of the Department for External Economic and International Relations, Mr. Sergey Cheryomin, who is on a working visit to Algeria. According to a ministry statement, both parties discussed ways to strengthen economic and commercial cooperation between the two sides.
The ministry’s statement explained that the talks focused on developing commercial exchanges outside the hydrocarbons sector, particularly by promoting Algerian exports to the Russian market. This reflects a shared commitment to propel bilateral relations toward broader horizons.
The meeting also addressed opportunities for establishing partnerships between economic operators in high-value-added sectors, as well as the exchange of expertise in the fields of trade and logistics services.
According to the same source, both sides emphasized the importance of intensifying meetings between business leaders and organizing joint economic events. Such initiatives aim to support bilateral cooperation and open new opportunities for Algerian products in the Russian market.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties renewed their commitment to continued coordination and joint action to serve the economic interests of both sides.
