The national coach explained, in a statement to APS at the Miloud Hadefi Olympic Complex, which hosted the competition over five days, that Jaouad Syoud was the only Algerian swimmer to successfully reach the minimum qualifying time for the World Championships in the B category, reflecting the outstanding technical level he displayed during the continental championship.

The Algerian swimmer delivered a remarkable performance throughout the competition, winning six gold medals: five in individual events and one in team races. His individual gold medals came in the 50m backstroke, 200m individual medley, 200m butterfly, 200m breaststroke, and 400m individual medley, in addition to gold in the men's 4×100m medley relay.
