Algerian middle-distance runner Slimane Moula took third place in the 800 meters at the Stockholm meeting, held on Sunday in Sweden as part of the 5th stage of the 2026 Athletics Diamond League, clocking in at 1:43.41.

The race was won by young American Cooper Lutkenhaus with a time of 1:42.70, ahead of Canadian Marco Arop, who finished second in 1:43.11.

Meanwhile, Briton Ben Pattison just missed the podium, finishing fourth with a time of 1:43.70.

This event was marked by the absence of several leading figures in the discipline, notably Kenyan Emanuel Wanyonyi and Algerian Djamel Sedjati, both medalists at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

Fifteen stages are on the schedule for the 2026 edition of the Diamond League. The first two took place in mid-May in China, first in Xiamen and then in Shanghai. They were followed by the third stage, held on May 31 in Rabat (Morocco), and the fourth, organized on June 4 in Rome (Italy).

After the Stockholm stage, the circuit will continue in Oslo (Norway) on June 10, Doha (Qatar) on June 19, Paris (France) on June 28, Eugene (United States) on July 4, Monaco on July 10, London (Great Britain) on July 18, Lausanne (Switzerland) on August 21, Poland on August 23, and Zurich (Switzerland) on August 27, before the finals scheduled for September 4 and 5 in Brussels (Belgium).
