The Algerian Volleyball Federation (AVBF) and its Polish counterpart have agreed to launch a cooperation partnership covering several strategic areas, following a working meeting held in Poland between the President of the AVBF, Mohand Tamadartaza, and officials of the Polish sporting body.

This cooperation, which aims to strengthen the exchange of expertise and the development of the discipline, revolves around three main components: national teams, beach volleyball, and training and development, the FAVB stated in a press release published on its social media platforms.

Regarding the national teams, the two parties agreed to promote technical exchanges by hosting the Polish women's team in Algeria to organize joint training camps with the Algerian women's national team, as well as with the under-17 team, in preparation for upcoming continental and global competitions.

The Polish partner will also take charge of organizing a preparatory training camp for the Algerian senior national team during its trip to Poland. Starting in 2027, a specific calendar will be developed to allow Algeria to participate in more international events. This initiative will be led by a Polish expert in coordination with the National Technical Director of the Algerian Federation.

In the field of beach volleyball, the Polish Federation will provide its Algerian counterpart with a calendar of international tournaments to facilitate the participation of Algerian national teams. For its part, Algeria will host Polish teams during international competitions scheduled for the coming months in Algiers and Djanet.

Regarding training and development, the cooperation program includes the organization of several training seminars intended for coaches, referees, and technical staff, as part of enhancing skills and modernizing working methods.

Furthermore, as part of the senior men's national team's preparations for the upcoming 2026 African Nations Championship, the Algerian internationals are currently holding a preparatory training camp in Poland, from May 28 to June 4, 2026, with the aim of raising the national team's level of preparation and competitiveness ahead of upcoming continental events.
