The University of Algiers 1 Benyoucef-Benkhedda opened on Tuesday an Apostille office dedicated to the authentication of diplomas, in a move aimed at simplifying administrative procedures related to university documents.

The establishment of this office falls within the framework of "the implementation of measures decided by the public authorities, which grant universities the authority to carry out the document authentication process in a single location, whereas it previously required traveling between the university, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs," the rector of the university, Ammar Haiahem, indicated on this occasion.

"Students can now book an appointment through the electronic platform set up by the university and upload the required documents for verification, before an appointment is scheduled to finalize the authentication process, which involves applying the Apostille sticker and returning the file. This simplifies the process and reduces document processing times," he added, specifying that authentication covers "all documents issued by the university and not just final diplomas."

"This service will be available 'throughout the year,' including during the summer holidays, thanks to the duty system put in place to ensure the continuity of public service," he assured, emphasizing that the university is working to "facilitate the task for students and alleviate the constraints associated with document authentication procedures."
